Stone, Light, and the
Art of the Considered Detail.

Calacatta marble does not whisper. It announces. And when Esquema Builders designed this kitchen transformation at 1703 SW 30th Street, that announcement was the starting point — not the finish line. Every decision that followed was made in service of the stone: the cabinetry, the hardware, the lighting, the proportion of every surface and void.

The custom millwork was built to a single specification: that the eye should never be distracted from the Calacatta. Matte lacquer cabinet faces in a tone pulled directly from the marble's grey veining. Integrated handles so the joinery disappears. Lighting positioned to graze the stone's surface and reveal its depth. This is kitchen design as curation — not construction.

There are kitchens that function. There are kitchens that impress. And then there is The Calacatta Suite — a space that does both simultaneously, without effort, every single day. If you have ever stood in a room and felt that nothing in it needed to be different, you understand exactly what was built here.

Three Decisions That Made
This Kitchen Exceptional

◆

Calacatta Marble Selection

Book-matched slabs chosen in-quarry for vein alignment. The countertop and backsplash read as a single uninterrupted composition — not assembled pieces.

▲

Integrated Millwork System

Full-height custom cabinetry with concealed hardware and flush toe kicks. Every surface flush. Every join invisible. The kitchen as a single object.

●

Lighting Architecture

Three-layer lighting: task, ambient, and accent — each on independent circuits. The kitchen transforms from work space to entertaining stage with one switch.
